Fluid Mosaics Sculpture Series

The pieces in this series of free-standing and wall mosaic sculptures are an illusion of flimsy and fluidity. The pieces deny the rigidity of mosaic and create a visual sense of graceful flowing movement. They are meant to be a visual contrivance, to give the illusion of a flexible organic form. One of my goals as an artist is to encourage the viewer to think about the emotions that are evoked by form and color, particularly since the pieces are abstract and don’t intend to convey any specific message or agenda. The pieces are meant to be explored, considered and enjoyed.
