​The room  has a fresh, clean feeling. It is fully furnished with full size bed, dresser,  desk with chair, night stand, lamp, book shelf and antique rug. There's a generous closet. I provide linens and towels. The room has two doors, one leading right to the entry of house. The other door is next to the bathroom. Bathroom has custom tile and skylight. 

I share my 4 bedroom / 2 bath house with my  27-year-old trans daughter who is an indie game designer (she/her). I'm a professional artist in my 50's (she/her) working from my backyard studio.  We'll be fully vaccinated by early May. We are looking for someone who is tidy, friendly, open minded, and communicates clearly.  Woman preferred. Must be comfortable living with trans people. 

The house has a very large kitchen with plenty of room for cooking, eating and enjoying the views of San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate and Marin. It's the heart of the house. We generally cook Sunday brunches together.  The living room is comfortable, with lots of sunshine, a large monitor for gaming and online entertainment, and a gas stove.  If you are working/taking classes remotely, you can use common areas as workspace.  A cleaner comes twice a month to thoroughly clean all the common areas of house. 

The garden is landscaped with fruit trees, flowers, vegetables and has two outdoor seating areas: a dining area which can also be used for working at a laptop, as well as a fire pit area with comfy chairs for lounging and socializing. Our outdoor areas are great for hosting friends socially distanced. We have a sweet, old Labrador mix dog, as well as a hen, and a bee hive.  

The street is one block long and very quiet, tucked away in a safe, residential neighborhood.  Excellent grocery stores, restaurants, parks, library and cafes all within a few blocks.  Monterey Market, known for outstanding fresh and affordable produce,  is close by.  This house is one of Berkeley's best neighborhoods because it's secluded but near excellent commercial areas. Plenty of street parking for car, or places to store your bike.

House is located near multiple transit lines. North Berkeley BART station is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk away. You can bike to UC Berkeley in 10-15 minutes or walking takes half hour. Express bus into SF and a shuttle stop for Lawrence Berkeley Lab are close by.

We have a weekly meal that we cook and eat together, usually Sunday brunch. Open to  game, art, tarot, movie, etc nights!
